Quake Live

The most skill based FPS game ever made. <3333 it. Lyra and I play it from time to time, as do a lot of TF2 friends and even some of my real life friends.

OMYGOOD I MISSED QUAKE!!!

I started playing Q3 when I was 11 or something... for like 3 years
I used to be so damn good! I remember one noob guild [TK] and they used to
be kinda bad. And to enter the clan you had to do these "tests" where people
can spectate while you play. And they were like: woww you so good and
you want to join us? I was one of the best (nolife) players. Carried the entire
clan to R1 We used to kick EVERYONES noob asses hahaa! We used to
enter alot of worldwide tournaments it was so fun! We practiced
and trained hours and days and weeks and months and done strafe maps
for hours! JJMTricks and something else I can't remember the name D:
We had own servers where we added lvl 1 bots! First started with 5 bots and
then had like 25. Then after we were able to kill them we went to lvl 2 - 5 bots
and then at 25 lvl 3/4/5 etc...

You will find that quake is pretty much the most skill based FPS game because it isn't JUST about aim. Not even aim AND movement. Heck, not even Aim, movement and teamwork (for CA and TDM). You need to be able to understand map control, time your powerups and item collection, predict your opponent and try be one step ahead and then still be able to beat them in aim, movement, weapon choice etc. perspective.

That's why quake is a very difficult fps game to get into, as most people playing it have been doing so for a few years and know what they are doing.

edit: oh i forgot to mention that there is actually a skill system though, so you wont be pitted against AMAZING players. And there is a tutorial that you need to do to get you understanding, including a match vs a bot. And the bots in quake can be pretty good.

Hmhm i am a very VERY fast learner trust me on that i Will fail first matches, but i Will improve pretty damn quick so i'm sure i be fine after knowing maps and stuff

I dunno what that is but I don't play anything besides the rail ... It's the only thing I'm good at lol D:

Back when y'all were still in diapers I was playing tournaments in this game. We had no luxury accessories like health and extra hp. We had 1 railgun shoved in our hands and we had to battle to survive. One hit - one kill! No "4 hit mercy", 1 hit -> wipe. Guud old dayus.

But seriously we should play TDM rail only one time! I never used a stupid grenade before and I seriously hate it xD You guys kept hitting me and blowing me in the air and I couldn't aim whilst FLYING all over the game.

There is instagib. That is 1 hit rail gun kills only mode. Used to play it alot when i first started quake to get my aim up.

Had a really fun game last night guys - we should do it more often!
